Tasks

This is a key role where you’ll ensure the successful delivery of apprenticeship, diversity, and workforce development commitments across our Transport for London (TfL) contracts. Acting as the single point of contact between Lanes Group, TfL, and our supply chain partners, you’ll make a real impact on careers and communities. -Continuous Improvement and Risk Management: Review SLNT plans annually or as required, identify risks to delivery, implement mitigation measures, and respond to any infractions promptly. -Monitor and Report Performance: Prepare and submit quarterly SLNT monitoring reports within strict deadlines, tracking apprentice starts, completions, job placements, and engagement days. -Develop and Deliver SLNT Plans: Create and maintain Strategic Labour Needs and Training Plans and Implementation Plans for each TfL contract, ensuring alignment with TfL’s Skills & Employment Strategy. -Coordinate Apprenticeships and Social Value Initiatives: Lead recruitment for apprenticeships, organise targeted work placements, and deliver educational engagement activities to promote social mobility. -Ensure Compliance and Audit Readiness: Maintain accurate records and evidence of all SLNT activities to meet TfL audit requirements and performance frameworks. -Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for TfL on SLNT matters, chair progress meetings, and ensure subcontractors deliver and report on SLNT commitments. -Build Partnerships: Establish and manage relationships with training providers, charities, employability organisations, and educational institutions to support SLNT objectives.

What You Bring

-CIPD qualification or equivalent HR/L&D certification -Excellent stakeholder management skills, especially with public sector clients. -Project Management qualification (Prince2, APM, or similar) -Competent in compliance reporting and data management. -Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion strategies. -Experience working with Transport for London or similar public sector clients -Experience delivering apprenticeships, training, or social value programmes in regulated or infrastructure environments. -Strong knowledge of UK apprenticeship frameworks and social mobility initiatives.
