The Role

Overview

Manage estimates, procurement, subcontract administration and cost control for infrastructure projects.

Tasks

-Work closely with the operations team for effective cost and value management of sections of work, including EVA, cost forecasting to completion, monthly cost/forecast reconciliation and cost/value reconciliation by attending site regularly. -Undertake and oversee subcontractor administration (NEC4 various options) – ensuring these are properly prepared & reflect the agreed scope, payment certification, liabilities and change management are completed in accordance with the subcontract. -Work closely with the procurement, design and delivery team to develop & monitor the procurement strategy. -Assist the Estimating Team to ensure robust estimates are provided that align to scope and make allowances for risks and opportunities.

What You Bring

-MRICS or CICES desirable. -BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience. -Proficient in subcontract management. -Knowledge of contract/commercial law. -Experience with NEC 4 forms of contract. -Established commercial working for a main contractor ideally on highways projects but other large civil engineering / infrastructure experience will be considered.
