Tasks

Represent the technical function with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and partners We are seeking a Head of Engineering to lead the technical function of a fast-growing hydrogen company. This is a leadership role with responsibility for shaping the engineering organisation, ensuring delivery of current projects, and building the team that will scale the business to gigawatt-level hydrogen production. Act as the technical authority for projects, reviewing and approving designs and ensuring compliance with industry standards and HSE requirements Mentor and develop engineers, promoting best practices and a culture of safety and collaboration Manage and grow a multidisciplinary engineering team, including process, mechanical, electrical, and safety specialists Build and improve processes that enable efficient project delivery while keeping flexibility in a scale-up environment Translate business needs into technical scope, schedules, and budgets, and ensure delivery against them Oversee the work of contractors and EPC partners, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective solutions Provide overall technical leadership across development, FEED, and execution phases of hydrogen projects

What You Bring

Proven experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary teams through FEED, FID, and EPC phases Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience scaling teams and building high-performing technical organisations. Ability to balance technical, commercial, and schedule requirements in a fast-paced environment start up environment Strong background in engineering leadership within hydrogen, energy transition, oil and gas, industrial gases, or related process industries
