Tasks

-Responsible for developing and executing on programs that promote workforce planning and development and college relations initiatives. -Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that values diverse perspectives and ideas Create and track metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the above programs and to drive program performance -Collaborates with HR, business leaders, and hiring managers to align diversity sourcing, workforce development, and college relations strategies with overall talent acquisition and business goals. -Oversee day-to-day team activities, including setting goals, evaluating performance, and managing workload distribution -Ensures the company has the right talent, in the right roles, at the right time while fostering a skilled, engaged, and diverse workforce. -Responsible for the Company's internship program which includes ~150-200 interns per year. Manages all phases of the program including recruiting (on and off campus), onboarding, programming for the interns during the summer, appraisals, and conversion/hiring into full-time roles. In between each cycle, maintain and strengthen relationships with existing schools and build relationships with new schools. Maintain and expand the company's recruiting network of Historically Black Colleges & Universities and Hispanic Serving Institutions. -Actively identifies and attracts top talent from underrepresented communities within the workforce, utilizing targeted strategies to build a diverse candidate pool. This includes partnering with organizations, associations, and community groups focused on promoting diversity in the workforce to access a wider candidate pool. This also includes creating and executing on new and high-impact programs to expand access to jobs at PSEG like the entry-level PREP program and Women in Skilled Trades Initiative. -Work with Community Colleges, trade schools, and high schools to build new programs that will create a pipeline of candidates for PSEG jobs who require less training to minimize impact to O&M dollars. -Actively engages with external partners including schools, unions, and community organizations to build a robust talent pipeline. -Lead and mange a team of professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities -Support team members in their career growth and ensure alignment with department objectives and company culture -Partner with the lines of business to understand their hiring needs. Identify external organizations whose constituents can fill those needs and develop partnerships with those organizations to be a tier 1 partner. In addition, work with external partners (schools, unions, workforce development boards) to develop and execute on programs that will create a pipeline of applicants that can fill roles in the future. This work is focused on hard to fill roles critical to operations where talent pools are limited.

What You Bring

-In lieu of degree - 15 years’ experience; Experience in diversity sourcing, workforce development, college relations or other position with relevant skills and experience -Experience developing and executing on innovative sourcing programs -Ability to work independently and exercise discretion and independent judgment -Ability to develop creative solutions -Strong understanding of talent acquisition, diversity sourcing, employee development strategies, and external community engagement -Experience supervising or managing others -Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (including SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) -Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills Experience building community partnerships and collaborating with external organizations to develop talent pipelines -Proven ability to lead and develop teams, providing clear direction and fostering a collaborative work environment -10 years experience with Bachelors degree; Experience in diversity sourcing, workforce development, college relations or other position with relevant skills and experience
