This role will see you leveraging your existing coastal engineering experience, to deliver everything from concept designs through to construction phase support. While this is primarily a technical role, you will be given opportunities for leadership (project management and design management), and business development (proposal preparation and client positioning).

Relocate to the Sunshine State and Join KBR’s Maritime Centre of Excellence in Brisbane.

  • Chartered Professional Engineer (or ability to get chartership within agreed timeframe)
  • Demonstrated skills in providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff to enhance their skills and capability
  • Ability to engage with clients, pursue opportunities and win work
  • Ability to project manage and/or design manage small maritime projects
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Experience working with the local governments, port clients and/or the Defence sector
  • Experience in the design, evaluation and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works and marine structures (wharves, jetties, port developments, marinas, seawalls, pontoons, dredging)
  • Experience in learn coastal modelling software (desirable skillset: DELFT-3D, SWAN, MIKE)
  • Familiarity with Australian design codes and guidelines
  • Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance
