Tasks

The Technical Claims Supervisor for Kodiak Building Partners will support the risk management and safety department daily by providing technical support & training to all businesses while partnering with vendors. -Keeps management abreast of existing and proposed litigation, trends and experience pertaining to auto, property and/or construction defect claims. -Manages schedule of values for operating companies, business partners and carriers. -Oversees auto, property and construction defect claims including coverage issues, liability, compensation and damages. -Reviews legal and supporting documents for risk transfer and tenders to appropriate carriers. -Responds to various written and telephone inquiries including status reports. -Attends and participates in mediations and legal proceedings to protect the company’s interests. -Communicates technical information effectively both verbally and in writing through preparation of technical reports. -Manages relationships and acts as liaison with various operating companies, business partners and carriers.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in a related field -Customer focused (i.e. generating accurate and timely results and effectively and timely communicating to customers, colleagues and management) -3+ years of insurance litigation experience required -Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally -Must be able to move between departments within the company facility -Travel Requirements: 25% travel by car and/or plane -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite -Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer -Ability to problem solve and think outside of the box -5+ years of claims adjusting experience required -Construction Liability or Commercial General Liability claims experience strongly preferred. -Work requires professional written and verbal communication as well as great interpersonal skills. -Customer service minded -Regular in-person attendance is required Monday through Thursday
