Tasks

To provide Facilities Management control and support to school sites to ensure that they operate efficiently and effectively to achieve and maintain full contractual and statutory compliance. In addition, it will be crucial to keep in communication with the client, the direct reports and MITIE regarding updates and reviews you will have taken. -Maintain strong relationships with clients, school representatives, and internal teams, attending meetings and resolving issues promptly. -Establish and monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to MITIE documentation and service standards. -Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, safeguarding policies, and audit requirements, acting as the key contact for safety-related matters. -Lead recruitment, training, and development of site-based staff, conducting appraisals and supporting succession planning. -Manage budgets, procurement, and contract variations to ensure cost-effective service delivery and accurate record-keeping. -Oversee the delivery of facilities services in line with contractual obligations, MITIE standards, and SLAs, while guiding site teams and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. -Produce regular reports on service delivery, utilities, damage, and helpdesk validations, providing feedback to the Account Manager and supporting continuous improvement. -Plan and coordinate preventative maintenance, lifecycle works, and reactive repairs with minimal disruption to school operations.

What You Bring

-Extensive experience within Facilities Management or equivalent. -Excellent stakeholder and client management skills. -Ability to build and maintain credible relationships across the site. -Desired – PFI experience or knowledge. -Desired – Relevant qualifications within the facilities/compliance field -Strong communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
