The Role
Overview
Manage electrical design, reviews, and project delivery for gas/petrochemical projects.

Tasks
-Operate in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environment and quality standards. -Attend design meetings and site visits. -Provide technical support for bid preparations. -To undertake and manage the day to day operations in respect of the following key areas: -Coordinate the delivery of the project tasks and deliverables within tight deadlines and multidisciplinary environment. -Identify business development opportunities with both internal and external clients and raise the profile of the business both internally and externally. -Undertake own continuing professional development and support the development of others. -Instruct CAD designers with regards to Electrical design. -Work closely with and provide professional advice on Electrical matters to relevant client personnel.

What You Bring
-Thorough and conscientious checking of own and others work. -Cadent / National Gas G17/35 Electrical Appraiser or Approver -Have the willingness to learn and develop -Knowledge and understanding of UK and international design codes, standards and specifications, in particular BS 7671 -Demonstrable experience in the Gas/Petrochemical Industry with knowledge of Hazardous Area Protection Concepts and Industrial design and protection of LV Systems. -Ability to work on own initiative on technical matters and manage their own time and that of others -An Electrical Engineering honours degree -Chartered Membership of a professional institution. -Work may require travel in the UK or abroad to offices and / or sites. -Ability to use Trimble electrical design software -UK Gas Industry experience -Fluent written and verbal English. -Some HV design experience would be beneficial but not essential.
