Tasks

The Data Governance Specialist is responsible for implementing and operationalizing AMANA’s data governance framework. The role focuses on ensuring data ownership, data quality, compliance, and metadata management to enable reliable, secure, and value-driven data usage across the organization. -Define and monitor data quality metrics and establish rules for data validation. -Implement and maintain the data governance framework and standards across business units. -Conduct data profiling to assess accuracy, consistency, completeness, and integrity. -Support the integration of governance practices within enterprise data management and analytics initiatives. -Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data management maturity and governance adoption. -Collaborate with data stewards, cybersecurity, and business teams to ensure alignment with governance policies. -Identify and resolve data ownership and accountability gaps across departments. -Develop and maintain metadata repositories and ensure up-to-date documentation of data sources and lineage. -Deploy and manage data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or similar platforms. -Generate regular reports and dashboards to track governance performance and data quality improvements. -Promote data stewardship culture through awareness, training, and best-practice sharing. -Support data privacy, protection, and compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., PDPL).

What You Bring

We are Adaptable and Agile -Hands-on experience with data governance tools (e.g., Informatica, Collibra, IDMC, Oval Edge, or similar). -Minimum 5 years of experience in data management, governance, or a related field. -Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and data control processes. -Ability to work effectively independently and in cross-functional teams. -Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. -Familiarity with data management technologies, such as data warehousing and data cataloging systems. -Preferable certification: DAMA, Informatica, or equivalent professional certifications are an advantage. -Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
