Tasks

-Participate in equipment testing and commissioning -Perform site surveys -Draft technical documents, calculation notes, specifications and reports -Participate in project management (costs, schedules, labour, etc.) -Perform short-circuit, power flow, protection coordination, arc-flash hazard studies and harmonic content analyses as well as steady-state and transient analyses in industrial power systems -Attend internal or client coordination meetings -Design and read various types of electrical drawings -Assist our industrial clients in their day-to-day operations in the field: troubleshooting, root cause analysis, staff training, shutdown planning and asset management

What You Bring

-Available for short-term work assignments between Sept-Îles and our Labrador City office, depending on business needs -Advanced level of French to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in Québec -Ability to draft technical documents in both languages -Three or fewer years of relevant engineering experience -Communication: Have strong listening, synthesis and writing skills -Creative: Demonstrate resourcefulness and innovation in providing solutions -Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects -Asset: Onsite experience (internships or other) related to industrial networks -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering -Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or equivalent) -Asset: Graduate from the Institut en génie de l’énergie électrique (IGEE) -Asset: Knowledge of ETAP, EasyPower, CYME or EMTP-RV software -Entrepreneurship: Be proactive in promoting your skills to peers and internal (e.g., directors, project leaders) and external clients (BBA clients) -Knowledge of MS Office Suite and other database applications -Results-oriented: Demonstrate rigour in executing your work and constantly seek to exceed set objectives -Service excellence: Demonstrate independence in managing relationships with clients, colleagues and partners
