Overview

Deliver technical training on water-based fire protection systems to various audiences.

Tasks

-Assist with maintaining training program accreditations -Maintain existing technical learning content -Develop new content or update existing training programs -Develop new training aids -Evaluate attendees based on performance for the purpose of certification Job Field Operations -Deliver existing content -Develop job performance requirements (JPRs) -Organize and maintain classrooms and equipment -Conduct and/or coordinate live virtual classes and webinars -Coordinate training activities -Operate audio/visual equipment -Present water-based fire protection system training courses to live adult audiences -Support LMS online training portal -Support Technical Services and other cross-functional departments as needed

What You Bring

-Ability to work in fluid corporate environment -Strong Presentation skills -Sprinkler system design experience preferred -Special hazards or fire detection systems experience a plus -A customer focused mindset -General awareness of the International Fire Code (IFC) and International Building Code (IBC) -5 years Fire Protection (sprinkler) industry experience -Excellent listening skills -A minor portion (less than 10%) of the role may involve domestic or select global travel. -Solid business communication skills -Understanding and application of the applicable NFPA standards in regard to water-based fire protection including NFPA 13, 14, 20, 25, 750 among others -Strong, positive interpersonal skills -Fire sprinkler inspection/service department experience -Basic understanding of the NFPA standards process -Superior written and spoken English communication skills -Well-versed in MS Office 365, primarily PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint -Detail-oriented, particularly with respect to managing technical training programs
