Senior Accountant

Overview

Handles month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and M&A accounting.

Tasks

-Maintain and analyze fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and related reports. -Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules. -Ensure all financial records are maintained in compliance with GAAP and company policy. -Contribute to department initiatives, process improvements, and special projects as assigned. -Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure completeness of cash activity. -Lead full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and integration for newly acquired entities. -Analyze and reconcile intercompany transactions. -Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. -Support the preparation of sales and KPI reports to provide financial insights. -Perform and analyze balance sheet reconciliations; resolve reconciling items timely.

-Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances. -Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable navigating change and evolving priorities. -Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. -Advanced Excel proficiency — strong data manipulation skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query; proficient in Word and Outlook. -Knowledge of GAAP, auditing practices, and principles; ASC 842 lease accounting experience a plus. -QuickBooks experience highly preferred; Salesforce experience a plus. -Experience with acquisition accounting and M&A integration highly preferred. -3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with public accounting experience strongly preferred. -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy. -Noise level is moderate in an office environment.
