The Role

Overview

Support landscape architecture design, documentation, and coordination across projects.

Tasks

-Participate in internal project meetings and contribute to design discussions. -Participate in site visits to observe and document project progress and assist in preparing site reports. -Support the development of 2D and 3D visualizations using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Lumion. -Assist in the coordination of design elements with other disciplines, including civil engineering and architecture. -Assist in due diligence efforts by conducting research on site conditions, environmental constraints, jurisdictional and ordinance requirements, and document all findings. -Perform revisions as marked up and directed by senior team members and self-check completed work for accuracy and compliance with company standards. -Prepare base files and convert digital data into usable formats for design and documentation. -Under the direction of senior team members, assist in the preparation of landscape architectural construction documents, including site layout, hardscape, planting, irrigation, and lighting plans.

What You Bring

-Travel required on an as-needed basis. -Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence. -Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), Lumion, and Bluebeam. -0-3 years of professional experience in landscape architecture is preferred. Internship/Co-ops may be counted towards years of experience. -Knowledge regarding land-use activities. -Experience in simultaneously balancing multiple projects is preferred. -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field is required. -Progression toward Landscape Architecture Registration is encouraged. -Ability to function independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
