The Role

Overview

Lead electrical engineering for water/power systems, manage projects, client service.

Tasks

-Maintain existing client relationships and lead pursuits to expand relationships with clients in the region -Project Management, including managing performance of assigned project team members -Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist -Develop new electrical markets in the region, client relationships, etc. -Maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments -Provide professional electrical engineering services for projects including planning, studies, design, bidding and construction administration -Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work -Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings -May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear -Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities -Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight

What You Bring

-Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months -5+ years of electrical system design experience in the water/wastewater, power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, substation, renewable energies, or similar industrial facility areas -Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems. -May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds -Renewable energy experience (such as Wind/Solar/Battery Banks/Etc.) -Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. -All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations -Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time -Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development -Knowledge of project financials -7+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in water and/or wastewater treatment -Strong oral and written communication skills -May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town -Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering -Project management experience -Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain -Substation design and medium voltage experience
