The Role

Overview

Perform on‑site commissioning, testing, and verification of building HVAC/mechanical systems.

Tasks

-Conduct basic measurement and verification activities -Participate in commissioning meetings and project turnover sessions (cont.) -Write commissioning reports and maintain accurate project documentation -Perform commissioning and functional performance testing for building mechanical systems -Monitor and verify proper equipment installation and operation -Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades as needed -Support analytics and building performance data review -Manage or assist with project-level commissioning activities from start to finish -Perform and document field observations and system testing results

What You Bring

-Ability to work both independently and collaboratively -2–3 years of mechanical, Test and Balance (TAB), or commissioning experience -Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills -Hands-on mechanical trades experience strongly preferred (HVAC, mechanical systems, etc.) -Strong written and verbal communication skills -No degree required; equivalent experience considered -Familiarity with mechanical drawings and system operation -Comfort with basic software tools for data entry and analysis -Hands-on experience with system testing, start-up, and commissioning -Understanding of basic energy efficiency principles and building controls -Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical equipment -Local travel required (up to 50%), with occasional out-of-state travel -Ability to work effectively in the field, often on active construction sites

Benefits

-Typical Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility as needed -Annual base salary range is $75,000-90,000 and varies based on experience
