Leadperson managing daily plant ops, safety, staff and equipment at concrete recycling yards.

Tasks

-Perform standard office duties, plant duties, and operate mobile equipment. -Participate in the plant safety committee. -Assist with equipment repairs and housekeeping as needed. -Make regular inspections for safety, housekeeping, and mechanical issues in all areas of the operation. -Establish and maintain effective communications within all areas of the operation. -Responsible for maintaining the quality of all products. -Assist Production Supervisor with scheduling and organizing employees to accomplish production operations. -Assist with annual performance evaluations of team members. -Plan and conduct daily safety/operational meetings with employees under your supervision. -Encourage employees to participate in Guardian Angel activities. -Maintain housekeeping and appearance standards as established. -Complete daily production, safety, and maintenance reports accurately. -Implement and apply all safety rules, policies, regulations, and procedures of property as set forth by federal, state, and local agencies. -Work closely with management to ensure the implementation of scheduled maintenance on all equipment.

What You Bring

-Bilingual (English and Spanish), preferred. -Demonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude and energy level toward teammates, peers, and customers. -Must maintain a valid driver's license. -Must have hand-eye coordination and vision to safely operate mobile equipment -High School Diploma or GED preferred. -4 years+ experience preferably in aggregates industry. -Self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision. -Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner. This job requires the ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection -Ability to operate hand levers, foot pedals, and steering wheel -Must be able to climb stairs to a height of 100 feet and work at this height -Ability to travel long distances by car or other commercial means, overnight at times -Lift up to 50 pounds -Must be able to work in confined spaces -Strong mechanical knowledge -Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously -Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, and reach around all areas of equipment -Understand team-based management. -Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. -Ability to operate two-way radio, CB radio, computer, phone, and other equipment as required -Effective coordination and communication skills (written and verbal) -1 year of supervisory or leadership experience, preferred. -Must be able to work irregular shifts and weekends as required -Must be able to walk across steep/rough terrain
