The Role

Overview

Sell personal lines, assess risk, build referral relationships, and achieve production targets.

Tasks

-Remain current on industry trends and specific carrier underwriting requirements. Follow all company procedures and processing guidelines. (0-5%) -Provide work direction as appropriate to new business specialists to ensure all aspects of client on-boarding are completed properly and in a timely manner. (0-5%) -Meet all performance and behavior expectations outlined in the company performance appraisal form or communicated by management. -Establish and maintain positive and productive work relationships with all staff, customers and business partners. -Foster referral relationships with all real estate personnel including agents, office managers and mortgage brokers to maximize sales opportunities. (20-25%) -Actively monitor and report to management any circumstances that may lead to a potential or actual insurance errors and omissions claim, DOI (department of insurance) or related complaints. (0-5%) -Follow the company HR Policy, the Code of Business Conduct and all subsidiary and department policies and procedures, including protecting confidential company information, attending work punctually and regularly, and following good safety practices in all activities. -Market and sell personal lines insurance policies. Proactively contact all leads to recommend appropriate insurance, quote and place coverage. Identify and assess client risk exposures. (65‑75%)

What You Bring

-Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. -Two years’ successful personal lines insurance sales experience. -Working knowledge of insurance agency operations, coverages, rates, markets and applicable insurance laws/codes. -Excellent automation, time management, and organizational skills. -Appropriate state agent/broker personal lines insurance license. -Ensure license remains current to include taking CEUs as needed in a timely manner. (0-5%) -Working knowledge of risk assessment and risk management techniques. -Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. -Knowledge of real estate, title, and/or mortgage businesses preferred. -Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience and knowledge; bachelor’s degree preferred. -Excellent sales and marketing skills.
