Tasks

-Care for Greenery plant inventory at our HQ/studio, ensuring plants are watered and cared for. -Dust plant leaves and prune foliage to uphold a tidy and attractive appearance. -Assist with installations, including planting, delivery, and installation of interior plants. -Actively participate and contribute to meetings, projects, and company initiatives. -Check automated systems (irrigation, lighting) regularly to ensure proper function. -Maintain daily notes, update maintenance logs, and document photos in Google Drive. -Check the calendar and Greenery NYC email daily for updates and communications. -Assess individual plant water needs and provide appropriate watering to maintain plant health. -Support living wall installations as required. -Monitor for pests and implement treatment as necessary to preserve plant integrity.

What You Bring

-Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. -Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the property or other areas on a timely basis. -Demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to design and detail. -Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. -Availability to work 1 weekend shift -Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception. -Minimum of 1 year experience working with plants in a professional setting or a degree in horticulture. -Must be able to move items weighing in excess of 50 lbs. routinely. -Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity -Ability to work on ladders (range 6-12') -Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and diverse work environment, demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and a proactive approach to handling multiple tasks and challenges simultaneously -Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours per day. -Possess a smartphone and the ability to navigate public transit around NYC. -Must be able to work well under pressure managing multiple deadlines. Pay Rate: $25/hour -Continuously develop horticultural skills and proficiency in operating and troubleshooting automated systems. -Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates. -Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to perform daily tasks. -Ability to lift objects weighing 30+ lbs regularly.
