Overview

Oversee civil engineering projects, manage teams, clients, and mentor staff.

Tasks

-Lead project interviews and presentations. -Coordinate, oversee, and manage civil projects of varying size and complexity; serve as the primary point of contact for teams and clients. -Build, maintain, and develop client relationships. -Assist with design scopes of work, fee calculations for proposals, and contract reviews. -Prepare project status reports, lead progress meetings, and document outcomes. -Train, mentor, and motivate staff. -Develop project schedules, set milestones, and manage deadlines. -Coordinate project scheduling and resources across all phases of design and construction. -Collaborate with business development staff, Project Executives, Client Executives, and Market Directors/Leaders during project initiation.

What You Bring

-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook -Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, or higher, in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a similar related field preferred -Active listening and superior communication skills both orally and written -Knowledge and understanding of Engineering disciplines, design, and technical aspects -Ability to make decisions, solve problems and think analytically -Professional Engineer License (PE) highly preferred -Excellent organization, multi-tasking, and critical task scheduling skills -Ability to travel up to 25% for client project success and internal project team engagement -Strong partnerships with public works and planning departments. -Demonstrated financial success on projects managed -Expertise in municipal infrastructure, roadway, and stormwater projects. -Ability to identify potential risks and take measures to mitigate before they negatively impact projects -Ability to provide clear direction, motivation, and support -Competency in managing large projects and / or a significant volume of small to medium projects for key clients annually -Minimum 10 years required, 12 years preferred, of project management, construction management, or related experience -Ability to react quickly and positively in all communication
