Tasks

-The assistant service manager shall support the Service Manager in investigating safety & vehicle incidents and completing incident reporting forms. -perform safety interactions and record results in ServiceMax or alternative repository -The assistant service manager is responsible for executing the company’s behavior-based safety program in their branch, under direct supervision of the Service Manager. The assistant service manager has direct responsibility for these tasks: -The assistant service manager shall support the Service Manager in assessing candidates for new technician positions and in onboarding technicians. -The Assistant Service manager assists techs in assuring SRs are closed in a timely manner. -Prepare quarterly technician performance evaluations. -The Assistant Service Manager supports their service manager in reviewing & approving credits and investigating & resolving past due service invoices. -assure new technicians are supplied with PPE on day one of their onboarding -Assure newly hired technicians are provided with all appropriate PPE on Day One. Facilitate replenishment of PPE as technicians report damaged or worn PPE. -Through direct engagement with technicians and close collaboration with their Dispatcher, the assistant service manager shall monitor branch activities on break-fix and project work to assure that each is performed efficiently and in accordance with customer quality expectations. -The assistant service manager shall monitor quality & workmanship (for example, using first-time fix rates) to assure employee technical proficiency is maintained and continuously improved. -Assist techs in assuring SRs are closed in a timely manner. -Schedule and facilitate monthly safety meetings with technicians. -The assistant service manager will review and approve completed work orders in collaboration with the Service Manager. -Ensure high level of parts management accuracy, such as service vehicle inventory accuracy and service parts logistics (parts requests and reverse logistics of returned parts). -Participate in periodic service metrics review calls with Dispatcher, Service Manager and Service Director to maintain positive results on Service -facilitate the monthly branch safety meeting, including taking attendance to document participants -Investigate & resolve past due service invoices. -Review and publish the weekly driver safety scorecard. -The assistant service manager shall support the service manager in performing weekly timecard audits & approvals and in facilitating daily overtime acknowledgements & approvals. -Review completed work orders for accuracy. Approve work orders for submittal to Billing team. -Complete targeted number of safety interactions with technicians. -review and publish the weekly driver safety scorecard -Facilitate daily overtime acknowledgements & approvals. -Conduct weekly timecard audits. -The assistant service manager shall support the service manager in preparing and delivering quarterly performance assessments to technicians.

What You Bring

-Ability to travel; must have a valid Driver License -Must be able to meet company’s employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the company -Physical Requirements: include occasional lifting/carrying of 10 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Must have strong communication skills, good interpersonal skills and strong customer satisfaction orientation. -High School Diploma or GED Required -Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship -Minimum of 1 year of retail or commercial petroleum equipment service and/or installation experience preferred, or 3 years in an industry providing equipment service with skilled technicians -Must be able to successfully manage and complete a high volume & variety of tasks simultaneously -Minimum of 1 year as a Team Leader or Supervisor. -Must possess proficiency using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook
