Tasks
-Coordinate drills, including fire drills, evacuation plans, and first aid training, to ensure employees are prepared for emergencies. -Work closely with management and other departments to integrate EH&S practices into day-to-day operations. -Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine their root causes and develop corrective actions. -Develop and implement sustainable environmental practices, including waste management, recycling programs, and energy conservation efforts. -Establish safety procedures and emergency response plans for various workplace incidents (fires, chemical spills, accidents). -Ensure timely reporting of incidents to regulatory authorities as required. -Keep track of employee certifications and safety training schedules. -Work with management to implement improvements based on audit results, incident trends, and employee feedback. -Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential safety hazards and environmental impacts. -Develop and conduct safety and environmental training programs for employees to promote safety awareness and proper safety practices. -Collaborate with external agencies, regulatory bodies, and contractors to ensure safety and environmental standards are maintained. -Ensure all necessary records and documentation are prepared for regulatory inspections and audits. -Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs to comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards, environmental laws, and regulations. -Monitor and interpret regulatory changes to ensure the organization remains compliant with evolving laws and guidelines. -Promote environmentally friendly practices and ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulations. -Oversee the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials and ensure proper waste management systems are in place. -Maintain up-to-date documentation of safety audits, inspections, training, and incident reports. -Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, procedures, and environmental controls. -Develop, implement, and oversee emergency response plans for various workplace scenarios. -Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the organization. -Stay updated with industry best practices and implement strategies to improve overall safety and environmental performance. -Recommend improvements to reduce hazards, risks, and the environmental footprint. -Travel to different locations may be required. -Ensure all employees are trained on emergency procedures, hazard communication, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe handling of materials. -Prepare and present regular reports to management on safety performance, incident trends, and compliance status. -Maintain records of workplace injuries, incidents, and safety training for compliance and audits. -Ensure all company activities meet or exceed environmental, health, and safety requirements and standards.

What You Bring
-Certifications in Environmental, Health, and Safety to include (e.g., OSHA 500, CHST, ASP/GSP Designation) is required. -Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety and Health Management, Safety Management, or equivalent. -In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and health and safety standards. -Ability to lead safety teams, conduct training sessions, and influence organizational culture. -Emergency preparedness and fire prevention -Ability to work extended hours and respond to emergencies as needed. -Proficiency in EH&S management software and tools. -Advanced sciences and math -CSP designation - preferred -Bilingual - preferred -Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. -Strong knowledge of environmental sustainability practices and waste management. -Leadership, communication, and training -Strong understanding of safety protocols, risk assessments, and emergency response planning.

-The base salary range for this position represents the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of posting and is dependent on a number of factors including but not limited to role, level, relevant education, experience, training, skills and abilities, location, and market and business considerations. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of the various factor identified above. The foregoing information reflects base salary only and does not include other forms of available compensation to which employees may be entitled including but not limited to profit sharing, appreciation rights, retirement compensation, travel subsistence, holiday contribution, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, healthcare (including dental and vision benefits), life insurance, disability insurance, and other compensations/benefits, which are dependent upon various factors including but not limited to years of service, location, performance, etc. The annual base salary range listed is subject to change at any time, in the Company’s discretion, and does not alter in any way the at-will nature of the employment relationship.
