Tasks

-Ensure project accounting structures allow for contract-type flexibility and operational scalability -The physical demands of the job may include occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds. -Provide mentorship to project accounting staff, promoting best practices across business lines -Lead the design and rollout of standardized project accounting methodologies within the ERP system, Deltek Vantagepoint, across all UES regions -The position involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in-person interactions -Participate in internal and external audits and serve as a key liaison for financial reviews -The role involves regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms -Lead the financial integration of newly acquired businesses into project accounting workflows -Collaborate cross-functionally to implement and reinforce cost controls, financial integrity, and audit readiness -Review labor, expenses, and subcontract charges with Project Managers for budget alignment and accuracy -Oversee monthly financial analysis of work-in-progress (WIP), progress billing, and accounts receivable.

What You Bring

-ERP experience required (Deltek, Vantagepoint preferred) -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred -Strong understanding of GAAP, WIP reporting, and project-based billing -Demonstrated success in designing project accounting processes in ERP systems -Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%) - lessening once deployments are finished -This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment -Experience in AEC, environmental consulting, or construction industries highly desired -This position requires extensive travel, approximately up to 75% of the time, to support business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work. -Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills. -10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in project/cost accounting is preferred
