Tasks

-Perform fire alarm calculations. -Supported the lead fire protection engineer in developing engineering analyses, including smoke control, combustible dust, energy storage systems, hazardous materials, etc. -Support the design of fire sprinklers, fire alarms, and special suppression systems for diverse projects. -Fire protection system layout and development of construction documents. -Perform sprinkler hydraulic calculations. -Construction support activities include responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and performing punch walks. -Perform basic Fire and Building Code analysis. -Perform site assessments and reports.

What You Bring

-Proficient in AutoSPRINK or HydraCALC sprinkler calculation software. -0-3 years of experience in fire suppression/fire alarm design. -Project management and business development experience is a plus. -EIT certification. -NICET Fire Sprinkler or Fire Alarm certified. -Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit. -Proficient in applying the California Building and Fire Codes, with experience implementing NFPA design standards. -Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. -US Citizenship preferred. -Experience in health care and/or federal jobs.
