Tasks
-Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the organisation. -Serve as a trusted advisor to clients – offering strategic guidance on properties, dilapidations, party wall matters and other building-related issues. -Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, contractors and regulatory authorities. -Conduct detailed inspections and assessments of existing buildings, identifying defects, preparing detailed reports and providing expert advice on maintenance, repair, and refurbishment strategies. -Develop technical knowledge to give guidance to others across a variety of sectors. -Develop and maintain new and existing client relationships contributing to growth of the team and wider department. -Mentor and coach new and existing graduate team members towards their professional qualifications, assisting where necessary. -Lead building surveying projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements. -Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions and drive successful project outcomes. -Manage and develop a small team of existing Building Surveyors to deliver new and existing work programmes. -Manage project timelines, budgets and resources effectively. -Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices. -Preparation of specifications, obtaining tenders and preparing contract documents. -Develop new workstreams and client opportunities through both innovation as well as repeat business arising from effective project delivery. -Lead and co-ordinate project teams in the successful delivery of construction schemes as part of our 1 Team ethos -Provide advice to clients and junior team members on effective approaches to procurement. -Contract administration, valuation and certification including chairing meetings with associated document preparation.

What You Bring
-Proven leadership abilities with a collaborative and team-oriented approach. -MS 365. -Aptitude for establishing, building and maintaining professional relationships with clients and colleagues. -Experience in client facing roles ideally with private consultancy background. -Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present to audiences both in person and virtually. -Valid UK driving licence. -Pre-contract advice on construction, contract or cost aspects of building surveying work including feasibilities. -Strong work ethic with appetite for agile working in and around the South East and central London. -AutoCAD / Vectorworks design software. -Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines. -Extensive experience in Building Surveying within the construction industry. -Experience required the delivery of a wide range of project based work. -MRICS status.
