The Role
Overview
Design, develop, maintain Ignition SCADA system and troubleshoot related issues.

Tasks
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and deploy site-level and central monitoring systems. -Develop and configure HMI screens, data tags, alarms, and reports to meet operational and project requirements. -Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SCADA systems using Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform. -Backup and Restore operations. -Maintain documentation, standards, and version control for SCADA configurations and deployments. -Work closely with operations and support teams to analyze system issues and implement corrective actions. -The engineer should be able to Designs, program and maintains SCADA/HMI (Human Machine Interface) user interface using Ignition Designer. -Integrate data from various field devices (PLCs, RTUs, sensors, databases, etc.) into the SCADA system. -Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and enhancements of live SCADA systems. -Managing alarms, indicators, and alert notification. -Adhere to industry best practices, cybersecurity guidelines, and safety protocols.

What You Bring
-This person should have expertise in designing and implementing web interfaces using Ignition Perspective. -Experience in Tag Historian and report function implementation -Proficiency in SQL for data querying, historization, and report generation. -Basic understanding of PLC programming and control logic (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.). -Qualification - BE/B Tech/MCA. -Integration with email and other messaging services. -Integration of Maria db /Influx db with the SCADA backend using SQL Bridge. -Candidate should be open to work for both - from Pune Office location or Remotely -Exposure to Azure cloud is a plus. -Experience of handling industrial protocols like Modbus, Profibus, EthernetIP, DNP3, etc. -The candidate should have a minimum of 4+ years of experience. -Strong understanding of SCADA architecture, including client-server communication, tag structures, and database connectivity. -Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VPN, firewalls, etc.) and system security principles. -Familiarity with database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server) and integration with SCADA. -Knowledge of scripting languages, especially Python (Ignition’s scripting environment). -Ignition Certification – essential CORE Certification and desirable GOLD Certification -Experience in Interfacing with the OPC Server/Client and other external systems. -Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, DNP3, MQTT, etc. -Experience in setting up and integration with OPC Server and OPC Client. -Should have expertise in scripting in Python within Ignition.
