  • Work closely with management to insure implementation of scheduled maintenance on all equipment
  • Responsible for maintaining quality of all products
  • Assist with equipment repairs and housekeeping as needed
  • Establish and maintain effective communications within all areas of the operation
  • Complete daily production, safety and maintenance reports accurately
  • Must make regular inspections for safety, housekeeping and mechanical issues in all areas of the operation
  • Perform standard office duties, plant duties and operate mobile equipment
  • Perform annual performance evaluations on team members
  • Assist management in developing mining plans, profit plans, AFE'S, and monthly forecast
  • Maintain housekeeping and appearance standards as established
  • Participate in the plant safety committee
  • Be responsible for scheduling and organizing employees to accomplish production operations
  • Encourage employees to participate in Guardian Angel activities
  • Implement and apply all safety rules, regulations and procedures of mine and property as set forth by federal, state, local agencies & policies
  • Plan and conduct daily safety / operational meetings with employees under your supervision

  • Ability to operate radio, CB radio, computer and other equipment as required
  • Ability to operate hand levers, foot pedals and steering wheel
  • Must be able to climb stairs to a height of 100 ft. and work at this height
  • Must have hand-eye coordination and vision to safely operate mobile equipment
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, climb and reach around all areas of equipment
  • 2 year supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Self-starter with ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces
  • 4 years experience in aggregates industry preferred
  • Strong mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
  • Demonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude and energy level toward teammates, peers, and customers
  • Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner. This job requires the ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots and hearing protection
  • Lift up to 75 lbs
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license
  • Effective coordination and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to travel long distance by car or other commercial means, overnight at times
  • Must be able to walk across steep/rough terrain.
  • Understand team based management
  • Must be able to work irregular shifts and weekends as required
  • Must have a clean driving record
