Overview

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial electrical systems in Rock Springs, WY

Tasks

-Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks. -Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. -Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems. -Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. -Work with and train apprentices on the job. -Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests. -Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential. -Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights). -Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel. -Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.

What You Bring

-Driving if required to travel. -Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen. -Experience in electrical and pneumatic process controls. -If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search. -Capable of reading and understanding overview drawings, one-line drawings, and electrical schematics. -Wyoming licensed electrician preferred. -Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. -Basic computer knowledge is required. -Exposure to areas with limited visibility. -Use of respirator if position requires. -Ability to layout conduit, cable tray, and overall jobsite installations. -Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors. -Up-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications. -Minimum Journeyman Skill level experience in instrumentation and industrial electrical system. -Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day, Standing
