The Role
Overview
Support commercial team with measurements, cost control, tenders and site reporting.

Tasks
-Assist with variations, valuations and final accounts under supervision. -Assist with the preparation of tenders including measurement, packaging and analysis. -Ensure risk and opportunity are considered during all commercial activities. -Carry out site measurement and maintain accurate records and control documents. -Support the commercial team in day-to-day duties. -Attend site and subcontractor meetings as required. -Monitor progress on site and report on commercial impacts. -Prepare subcontractor valuations and final accounts with guidance. -Contribute to cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and cash management under supervision. -Act professionally at all times and support the commercial team in upholding company standards. -Assist with the implementation of the commercial strategy.

What You Bring
-Familiarity with the Standard Method of Measurement. -Strong organisational and time management skills. -Some knowledge of subcontractor negotiation and contract administration. -Awareness of JCT forms of contract. -Exposure to contracts over €15m or £15m. -Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships. -Understanding of the Standard Method of Measurement (SMM). -2+ years of experience in constuction as a junior or assistant quantity surveyor -Additional training or experience in NEC contract forms. -Demonstrates commercial awareness and willingness to learn. -Good written and verbal communication skills. -Degree in Quantity Surveying (completed or currently in progress). -Experience working on contracts over €5m or £5m. -Ability to use Microsoft Office applications effectively.
