CNC Technician - 2nd Shift

Overview

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines on the 2nd shift.

Tasks

-Perform electrical power work (e.g. running wire and cable, installing fixtures, performing testing and diagnostics) under the direction of an electrician and in accordance with safety procedures. -Support installation and setup of new CNC equipment. -Identify and source parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary. Perform evaluations of alternatives to improve cost and / or reliability of equipment. -Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data. Observe trends and make recommendations to improve equipment reliability. -Troubleshoot and analyze complex control systems to resolve in-depth software/ hardware and configuration problems. -Complies with all national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines and policies e.g. ISO14001. -Perform routine preventative maintenance (e.g., cleaning, lubrication, calibration, part replacement). -Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues for CNC mills, lathes, and other manufacturing equipment (e.g. presses, drills, etc.). Test equipment to observe performance, dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts, examine parts to detect imperfections, adjust parts and control instruments, repair and / or replace defective parts or tools, etc. -Follow all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines.

What You Bring

-Experience in predictive technologies, precision alignments, and general maintenance of applicable process equipment. -5 years of industrial / CNC maintenance experience. -Proven ability to run a machine with multiple settings or specifications -In-depth knowledge of CNC machine operations -Ability to lift 35 lbs. -Minimum of 2 years of CNC maintenance experience -Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. -Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs. -Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience -Knowledge of operating lift truck, material handling equipment, man lifts and hand tools. -This job requires working daily with lubricants and solvents. -Ability to proactively work with other team members under limited supervision. -Ability to read blueprints, schematics and drawings -Familiarity with OEM controllers (e.g., FANUC, Doosan, Mazak, etc.) -High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution -This position requires standing and/or walking for an entire eight – twelve hours. -Understanding of how to use precision gauging instruments.
