Overview

Design traffic signal, street lighting and power distribution projects using MicroStation/AutoCAD.

-Adhering to project budgets and timelines for deliverables -Mentoring of junior staff -Generating design drawings in MicroStation and AutoCAD environments -Coordination with design team members -Conducting site investigations and inspections -Performing quality checks of design drawings -Preparing designs for projects involving traffic signalization and street lighting systems -Performing material take-offs

What You Bring

-College diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology -Thorough knowledge of industry standards and design guidelines, including Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Ontario Traffic Manual OTM Book 7, 12 and 12A, IESNA RP-8, and applicable TAC guidelines -Strong analytical skills -Excellent knowledge of MicroStation and AutoCAD / ACC environments -Experience with AGI32 will be considered an asset -Self-motivated and able to work on multiple projects -Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills -Minimum 10 years' related experience -Ability to exercise sound judgment and to work independently with minimal supervision -G class driver’s license.
