-Prepare and deliver presentations to communicate project proposals, estimates, and status updates to stakeholders. -Analyze schedule impacts, constraints, and risk, to recommend mitigation strategies. -Assess progress and quality of project controls work, providing accurate forecasts and completion estimates. -Identify and analyze factors influencing cost, including direct and indirect cost, and review these findings with upper management to support decision-making. -Analyze project scope, route complexity, terrain, environmental factors, and schedule impacts to produce reliable estimates. -Prepare quality take-offs, labor, material, equipment, and other direct cost estimates. -Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment of schedules with project scope and deliverables. -Maintain and update cost databases, utilize historical data to improve estimate accuracy. -Review and validate project schedule estimates for accuracy and feasibility. -Lead the development of comprehensive cost estimates (FEL 1, FEL 2, and detailed estimates) from concept through execution. -Review vendor and contractor bids for compliance with project scope and financial expectations. -Compile and review engineering reports, ensuring all scope elements are properly included. -Integration of contractors schedules and assist with time impact analysis related to change orders or scope adjustments. -Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, OPC and Microsoft Project.
-BS/BA in Business, Engineering, and/or related field experience -Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. -Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours. -Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across disciplines. -Knowledge of project controls principles earned value management (EVM) and familiarity with critical path method (CPM). -Strong background in developing detailed cost estimates and project schedules. -Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. -Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. -The employee is regularly required to use hands to type, touch, handle, or feel.
