Develop and manage detailed cost estimates for the Gateway Hudson Tunnel project.

Tasks

-Perform risk and uncertainty analyses to develop contingencies and evaluate potential cost impacts. -Review contractor bids and change orders to support negotiation and procurement processes. -Lead the development of detailed cost estimates across all project phases (conceptual, preliminary, and final design). -Ensure all estimates are compliant with industry standards, client requirements, and relevant regulations. -Prepare cost breakdowns for civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, communications, signal, and track systems. -Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and stakeholders to understand project scope and cost drivers. -Analyze drawings, specifications, and other project documents to prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and pricing.

What You Bring

-Experience in preparing detailed cost estimates for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), civil, structural, or architectural construction projects. -Proficiency in cost estimating methodologies and techniques related to construction. -Knowledge of New York City construction trade unions rates and rules. -Strong ability to produce high-quality materials within tight timeframes and manage multiple assignments simultaneously. -10 years of experience estimating complex infrastructure or tunnel projects. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
