Overview

Manage procurement, purchasing, and supplier coordination for a transformer plant.

Tasks

-Resolving inbound material discrepancies -Execute a range of procurement activities, including: -Coordinate with suppliers and project teams to clarify technical requirements and resolve ambiguities. -Provide delivery follow-up support for exceptional cases as requested by project teams. -Purchase order maintenance and expediting -Manage the seamless placement of both direct and indirect purchase orders. -Prepare contract agreements and negotiation reports in compliance with controlled templates. -Prepare and lead negotiations to achieve optimal cost savings. -Conduct supplier prequalification, strategic evaluation, risk assessment, and development using SAP Ariba. -Drive implementation and ensure adherence to globally defined procurement methods, processes, and systems to maintain high efficiency and compliance (e.g., Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, procurement guidelines, IT systems).

What You Bring

-Skilled Influencer, possessing strong diplomacy, teamwork, & interpersonal skills. -Ability to assess priorities, demonstrate flexibility and understand sense of urgency. -Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. -Familiarity with sending RFQs to approved suppliers and introducing new suppliers as necessary. -SAP proficiency is mandatory. -Must be willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC if not already based in the area. -GR/IR and blocked invoice resolution -Overdue PO follow-up and MD04 exception handling -Proven experience purchasing machinery, equipment, or materials / services within the industrial sector -Strong background in vendor management with a customer-focused mindset (internal and external) -3+ years of experience within supply chain, procurement with a bachelor’s degree. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
