Overview

Oversee all phases of home construction projects ensuring timely, budgeted, high-quality delivery.

Tasks

-Drive process to ensure the most cost-effective product. Provide recommendations to reduce costs and increase efficiency -Review and approve project budgets, contracts, change orders, and payment applications -Develop and maintain construction schedules, resource allocation plans, and progress reports -Communicate consistently with all departments to achieve division goals -Review customer satisfaction surveys, analyze and identify trends, and implement solutions to improve customer satisfaction scores -Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company -Responsible for the implementation of all construction field policies and procedures -Promote an atmosphere of accountability that focuses on quality and customer satisfaction -Communicate with employees and subcontractors a consistent level of expectations and direction regarding schedules, construction methods, company policies and procedures, safety standards, quality control and other performance standards -Monitor relevant changes in the marketplace and react quickly to take advantage of opportunities -Ensure all employees represent D.R. Horton, Inc. and the division professionally to the public and local government offices -Oversee field operations, productions times, and ensure quality control so the homes built meet the DR Horton quality standards and are ready for homeowner orientation and occupancy -Supervises 2 or more employees -Oversee safety training to promote safe and efficient construction processes -Promote construction team relationships and partnerships with subcontractors , verifying communication and accountability -Recognize talent, recruit, retain and motivate a team across all functions required to run a successful division -Evaluate scopes and performance of all subcontractors and vendors

What You Bring

-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications -Ability to travel overnight -Proficiency with MS Office and email -Demonstrated problem solving skills by using persistence and ability to overcome obstacles -10+ years of progressive construction experience -Basic accounting or finance knowledge -Experience in a leadership role involving operations, sales, and production -Customer Service experience a plus -The noise level is generally moderate -Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision -Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Construction or related field from a four-year college or university -Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations
