Senior Security Engineer (PulteMortgage)

Tasks

-Leads internal initiatives for the implementation, use, and improvement of processes, procedures, guidelines, and metrics for security systems. -Identifies potential security risks and vulnerabilities and develops strategies to mitigate those risks. -Uses expert knowledge of attack techniques to develop and implement detection capabilities for indicators of compromise; correlates data to build effective SIEM alerts. -Evaluates threat intelligence, assesses risk to the company, and determines best course of action. -Participates in on-call support when necessary. -Takes a lead role to scope, design, test and deploy the most complex security software, tools, and services including cloud security, vulnerability management, email security, security information and event monitoring (SIEM) tools, and endpoint protection. -Typically responsible for coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals. -Administers, maintains, and optimizes complex security software and services, performing upgrades when appropriate. -May be responsible for entire projects or processes within area. -Leads vulnerability assessments and remediates as necessary. -Collaborates with other IT teams to evaluate and recommend security solutions that fit within the enterprise architecture strategy. -Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results within area of work. Works independently under limited supervision. -Contributes to the planning, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s information security strategy. -Stays up to date with emerging threats and technologies in the field of cybersecurity and applies knowledge gained to improve the organization’s security posture. -Performs forensic analysis and escalation for identified threats. -Proactively and independently researches and implements system hardening procedures. -May be responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within functional area. -May manage projects at this level, requiring responsibility for the delegation of work and the review of others' work product. -Configures advanced security policies that work within PulteGroup's security framework.
