Lead Forklift Operator

Overview

Operates forklift to move, load, unload materials and guide other operators

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist. -Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together. -Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to -Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, -Assisting in monthly inventory -Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent -Opens containers. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. -Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on -Must foster a safe work environment at all times -Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination or signals -Guiding other forklift drivers in day to day schedule -Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area in a timely -Loads truck for Industrial Truck Operator.

What You Bring

-Must have a great work ethic -Must have strong attention to detail -Previous experience in a manufacturing environment desired -May need a current Tow Motor License if involved in moving trucks on plant site. -Will need to take courses to obtain our Fork Lift Certification. -Previous Fork Lift Operator experience desired
