Tasks

-Communicate macro-level changes (e.g., queue reforms, transmission projects, retirements, generation additions) to affected stakeholders -Coordinate internally across development, engineering, M&A, and finance teams -Strategic Queue Positioning: Secure viable queue positions with clear critical-path schedules, deposits, and commercial readiness milestones tracked and delivered on time -Ensure compliance with FERC orders and NERC standards -Represent ENGIE in industry advocacy groups -Support utility negotiations for interconnection agreements, project scheduling, and site acquisition -Lead external engagement with PTOs/ISOs, utilities, and consultants -Maintain upgrade and schedule risk registers; present mitigation strategies such as portfolio routing, alternative POIs, and phased development -Analyze thermal, voltage, and stability results; assess upgrade assignability, cost reasonableness, and reconfiguration options to reduce scope -Manage cluster and independent study processes, validations, and stakeholder meetings -Plan and manage TPD retention strategies, affidavit packages, and timing relative to PPA milestones -Deliverability Strategy : Develop and execute strategies to win and retain TPD allocations, and plan for Full Capacity Deliverability Status (FCDS) or Partial Deliverability to support Resource Adequacy (RA)-eligible offtake -Negotiate commercial terms of Interconnection Agreements, including milestones, security, provisional service options, and outage/energization coordination -Align FCDS/Partial deliverability strategies with offtake requirements -Coordinate feasibility, system impact, and facility studies with internal modelers and external PTOs/ISOs -Collaborate with grid and production cost modeling analysts to assess project impacts -Stay informed on national renewable energy trends and opportunities -Advise on injection capabilities and queue optimization strategies -Lead CAISO/WECC interconnection requests, including application submissions, fee/deposit management, and milestone tracking -Guide Point of Interconnection (POI) and route screening in collaboration with modeling teams -Interconnection Agreements : Lead negotiation and coordination of Interconnection Agreements and associated network upgrades through handoff at Notice to Proceed (NTP) -Risk & Cost Control : Provide executive-level briefings on queue/study status, upgrade exposure (LDNU/ADNU), schedule risks, and mitigation strategies

What You Bring

-Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build constructive relationships across internal teams and external partners, and represent ENGIE effectively in collaborative environments -Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to prioritize critical-path tasks, manage multiple workstreams, and operate independently within a large, matrixed organization -High attention to detail and a proactive, results-oriented approach to gathering and synthesizing required information to support decision-making, managing priorities, and driving progress independently within a large, matrixed organization -Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies -Technical expertise in interpreting and challenging Powerflow results, including consultant work product, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders -Must be available to travel domestically up to 30% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips -Proven commercial acumen with a proven track record of translating study outcomes into upgrade cost ranges, contingencies, and hedging strategies aligned with offtake RA requirements -Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related technical field, along with at minimum seven (7) years experience in utility-scale renewables or transmission & distribution (T&D), including direct ownership of interconnection workstreams. CAISO and WECC experience highly preferred
