Tasks

-Partner with developers and Business Analysts early in the lifecycle to define testable acceptance criteria. -Contribute to the team’s agile ceremonies, providing quality insights during planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. -Collaborate with the Product Owner and delivery team to ensure backlog items have clear quality expectations. -Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and gaps in coverage, and work with the team to address them. -Engage in opportunities through the Origin Foundation to support your community. -Continuously enhance automation practices by adopting modern tools, libraries, and coding standards. -Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites for web, mobile, and API platforms. -Support manual exploratory testing where required to complement automation coverage. -Actively troubleshoot and resolve automation failures, working with developers to identify root causes. -Ensure automation coverage across functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. -Drive quality at scale by owning automated testing across platforms -Use metrics and reporting to provide visibility on quality trends, automation coverage, and release readiness. -Explore unique and cost-effective employee EV Car subscriptions. -Advocate for shift-left testing practices, embedding quality from the start of solution design. -Build and optimise test frameworks that enable continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). -Accelerate delivery through modern frameworks and shift-left practices -Promote a culture of quality by coaching team members on test automation practices and tools.

What You Bring

-Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests into build and release processes. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. -Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. -Strong programming skills in at least one language (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#). -Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role in agile software delivery. -Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, RestAssured). -Familiarity with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous. -Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience. -Melbourne CBD based -Experience testing APIs, microservices, and integrations.
