Tasks

Join our client’s Transmission Planning team and play a key role in shaping the future of Texas’s power systems! As a Planning Engineer, you’ll lead advanced system studies and dynamic stability assessments that guide critical decisions in grid expansion, infrastructure modernization, and renewable integration. Your expertise will directly influence how the state’s transmission network evolves to meet tomorrow’s energy demands. -Build and maintain network planning models to evaluate transmission upgrades and new interconnections -Perform contingency, short-circuit, and optimal power flow studies -Support NERC Reliability Standards compliance and documentation -Conduct detailed engineering studies including Steady State and Dynamic Stability assessments

If you’re ready to apply your engineering expertise to real-world grid challenges and collaborate with leaders driving the energy transition, we’d love to connect with you! -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline -Familiarity with ERCOT processes and economic transmission planning -Experience with dynamic stability and composite load modeling -Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas preferred -3+ years of experience in power system planning or analysis -Proficiency in PSS/E, TARA, PowerWorld, and Python
