The Role

Overview

Assemble and test electrical equipment, mainly overhead cranes, in a manufacturing setting.

Tasks

-Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports -Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as required for material handling -Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges -Test product to ensure conformance to specifications as a finished product -Assemble and build products such as electrical panels, electronic motor control devices, inner connection between components and sensing equipment -Work safely and responsibly in an industrial environment by adhering to all OSHA and internal safety policies -Adjust or repair electrical equipment -Use best practices to meet production schedule and quality assurance requirements -Fabricate or modify parts, using shop equipment -Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits -Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment

What You Bring

-Excellent hand-eye coordination -Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds -Must successfully complete a criminal background check, drug screen and E-verify -Ability to operate and understand electrical meters -Experience with three phase motor controls and variable frequency drives strongly preferred -Experience in a manufacturing environment required; prior overhead crane electrical and lifting industry preferred -Willingness to work in flexible shifts -Ability to lift and operate heavy electrical machinery -Ability to work independently with minimal supervision -Ability to create and interpret technical documentation -Effective communication skills -Basic computer skills such as emailing, record keeping, ordering, inventory management and form filing
