Support daily accounting tasks and month-end processes for corporate finance.

Tasks

-Build and maintain Business Objects reports used for monthly and quarterly reporting. -Complete monthly bank reconciliations, coordinating with Aecon business units and Shared Services to remedy variances. -Participate in special projects and initiatives as required. -Conduct account analysis and prepare working papers and schedules to support financial reporting. -Assist with interim and year-end audit and reporting requirements. -Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. -Prepare monthly HST, GST, PST, and QST returns, reconciliations, and filings. -Ensure continuous process improvements are applied within areas of responsibility. -Complete intercompany reconciliations, including confirmation of intercompany balances with other Aecon business units and coordination of cross-company transactions. -Assist with month end close process, including preparation of journal entries, elimination entries, recurring entries and accruals. -Provide support to Corporate Tax team during CRA audits.

What You Bring

-Strong analytical and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate information clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. -Proficiency in using accounting software, financial management tools and spreadsheets is an asset. -SAP or Business Objects experience is an asset. -Enrolled or working towards a professional accounting designation. -Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)
