Overview
Part‑time drafter creating 2D/3D structural and utility plans using AutoCAD.

Tasks
-Collect geophysical and survey data using non-destructive and survey equipment for underground utility and above-ground reality capture projects. -Prepare technical and commercial proposals for potential projects and meet with clients to discuss project requirements. -Work with the VDC team to handle laser scan point clouds and prepare scan-to-model deliverables in Autodesk software suite. -Work with the Virtual Design Consulting (VDC) team to prepare underground utility plans and models.

What You Bring
EEO Statement We are seeking a motivated Part-Time Drafter to work primarily on 2D/3D structural plans in AutoCAD in compliance with building codes and standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated with the ability to collaborate with a team. This position has the option to be a remote position within the Mid-Atlantic Region. -Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients. -Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology or closely related degree or High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years of AutoCAD drafting experience with a focus on architectural or structural design. -Ability to read and interpret construction documents. -Highly proficient in AutoCAD architectural and drafting principles (experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus). -Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. -Ability to accurately complete field-testing paperwork and detailed figures. -Strong organizational skills. -Computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and engineering design software or similar industry tools is required. -Flexibility to work varying schedules, including early mornings, weekends and/or overtime as project demands require. -Ability to read and interpret both architectural and structural drawings. -Ability to use your senses to see (including close, distant and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus), smell, hear and touch (use your hands to reach, climb or balance, crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit). -Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, managers, and clients with strong oral and written communication skills. -Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, detailed reports, short correspondence and memos. -Ability to calculate results from construction inspections. -You may be exposed to and involved with occasional field work on outside construction sites which could include conditions such as wet and/or humid environments, extreme cold and/or heat, dusty and noisy work environments. -Understand applicable underground utility standards, especially ASCE 38-02 (updating to ASCE 38-22). -This position spends approximately 95% of time in an office environment and 5% in the field with project managers and clients.
