Electrical Inspector

Overview

Inspect and oversee electrical installations, QA/QC, and compliance on UAE projects.

Tasks

-Assist Electrical engineer in reviewing engineering submissions shop drawings, materials submittals, RFI etc. -Assist in the preparation of ‘as-built’ drawings. -Review Contractors’ monthly payment certificates. -Check that delivered material is in line with approved material submittal and specification. -Carry out routine site visits to ensure contractors approach to work is in line with program. -Raise SI ad NCR’s for non-conformance work carried out at site. -Prepare and review inspection reports and site records. -Interface with clients and contractor’s staff to determine and verify project requirements. -Ensure that the Contractor is using the latest revision of approved drawings and technical submittals. -Proactively identify project risks and notify the team lead / RE promptly. -Carry out regular inspection to ensure work carried out is in accordance to approved submittals. -Observe site safety procedures. Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at site, as required by the Resident Engineer and/or Project Safety Representative. -Contribute to company initiatives such as incorporation of Technology and data into work and to define new working practices. -Review Contractor’s Electrical quality assurance and quality control programs, inspection and test plans, installation and testing for all electrical systems (LV, ELV, FA etc).

We are seeking an experienced professional in Electrical inspector to join our growing team. -Ability to work individually and as part of a team. -Pro-active approach in identifying a potential problem and providing its solution. -Work experience In Industrial project is mandatory. -Competence level in performance of your core professional duties. -Basic computer knowledge of office & industry software (MS-office, AutoCAD, etc.) -Basic understanding of contract and authorities’ requirements -Basic understanding of other related building disciplines. -Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently. -Diploma in mechanical engineering is acceptable, Engineering degree will be advantages. -Appropriate electrical code knowledge related to UAE is mandatory. -Ability to deliver & closeout effectively. -Basic knowledge of all related Authorities standards and regulations -Self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects and deliver successfully. -Understanding of construction sequencing & methodology. -Candidate must have at least 5-6 years’ experience in all electrical trades in building site with minimum of 3-4 years in UAE
