Tasks

-Manage project data files from various sources -Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers -Work in cooperation with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within the project budget for local agencies, federal agencies, and state DOTs -Perform bridge designs and load ratings using spreadsheets, finite element software and/or other bridge software -Design or check retaining wall and other structural components in support of roadway or site civil projects -Prepare structure type selection studies -Assist the local team to establish and maintain client relationships; ability to coordinate and communicate with clients to ensure project design objectives are met and achieve client satisfaction -Assist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation related structural engineering

What You Bring

-Have a strong sense of self-initiative to meet client deadlines -Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities -Ability to travel and perform fieldwork on occasion -B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s with a structures emphasis a plus) -Passed P.E. exam (Registered P.E. a plus) -Knowledgeable in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microstation -3-7 years of experience -Experience working in bridge design team -Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely
