Tasks

-Communicate with manufacturing and other personnel as required to keep them informed of accurate delivery schedules, material lead-times and other pertinent information required for the manufacture of customer orders or new product development. -Process returns to vendor for defective materials and parts; expedite replacement material and parts as needed. -Manage vendor performance related to quality, cost, and delivery. Recommend and implement corrective actions in collaboration with vendors and supplier quality. -Evaluate and manage ERP (Epicor) master data including planning & replenishment parameters to ensure clean master data in support of managing by exception, long term requirements planning with suppliers. -Quantify supply and demand variability while performing the statistical analysis required to establish proper inventory levels and replenishment techniques to achieve and/or improve performance to market expected lead times. -Process purchase orders, requisitions, and blanket orders for needed materials to meet production requirements. Collaborate with vendors to automate transactional interactions wherever possible. -Schedule purchased part deliveries, review MRP requisitions and ERP status reports, Power BI exception reports, expedite parts shortages and expedite deliveries to ensure material availability for proper inventory levels.

-Travel up to 10%. -Background Check: A comprehensive review of any relevant educational credentials, criminal records, and social security validation ensuring alignment with company standards and regulations -Experience with Microsoft Power BI and SourceDay supplier portal a plus. -Drug Screen: Testing for controlled substances to maintain a safe and productive work environment. -Physical Examination: Verification of physical fitness to perform job responsibilities safely and effectively. -Working knowledge of ERP systems is required. (Epicor is a plus). -APICS and/or ISM certifications a plus. -3 or more years’ experience in purchasing and/or scheduling preferably in a manufacturing environment. -Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word. -Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, technical data, and product specifications. -Bachelor’s degree or at least 4 years of work experience in Supply Chain, Business, Materials Management, or related field is required.
