Tasks

-Prepare documentation and lead client steering committee meetings -Apply risk mitigation strategies to the project plan to ensure overall project success -Analyze project risks and inefficiencies and recommend improvements -Nurture client/stakeholder partnership to ensure overall satisfaction with the project -Ensure business case accurately reflects costs and is updated as changes occur; Usher the business case through the approval process and adhere to all standard procedures -Ensure project meets the expected budgetary and scheduling guidelines -Provides process improvement recommendations and proactively shares lessons learned based on best practices and industry standards. -Diligently monitor project progress using work plan and project plan tools -Some lifting of files, opening cabinets. -Effectively communicate project status and issues to management and present options for issue resolution -Actively participates in the development of new business; performs market research; contributes to the development of proposals; meets with prospective new clients. -Work closely with project team to effectively understand project progress and manage project tasks -Enforce change management practices to meet project timelines and client expectations -Set up issue tracking structure and project boards to facilitate efficient and accurate project status reporting. -Establishes, plans, and executes major milestone/deliverable reviews and decision gates to complete the project life cycle. Ensures all required deliverables are produced and reviewed, including the technical leadership of requirements management, design, implementation, verification, test, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and maintenance of the technical solution. -Coordinate with all appropriate project stakeholder groups and personnel to ensure excellent delivery of projects -Participates in the recruitment and mentoring of more junior Project Managers and other staff. -Provide all necessary data for tracking, planning and project evaluation to ensure data accuracy in project management tools

What You Bring

-Proven skills in program/project management -Ability to create and maintain project plans and other project management documentation -Ability to manage projects with little supervision and provide status and issues to executives and upper management -Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management approaches -Proven ability to influence others and to build trusting relationships with clients and peers -Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer science, information systems or a related field of study. -A minimum of eight (8) years directly related Project Management experience, preferably with teams of 5 - 15 staff including analysts, developers, QA, tech writers, and related personnel. -Proven ability to drive and coordinate the tasks of a large, matrixed project team which is geographically dispersed -Strong communications and presentation skills, including ability to summarize and concisely share key project information at all levels of the organization and with clients -Knowledge of business and technology work processes and the ability to use this knowledge when consulting across organizations and client groups -Strong ability to provide leadership/mentorship to other team members -Strong initiative and creativity in gathering and analyzing project management-related data -Program Management Professional certification -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, use hands to finger, handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bending or crouching; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. -Ability to manage multiple priorities, set direction, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
