The Role

Overview

Develop and price tender estimates for energy projects, managing cost plans and supplier bids.

Tasks

-Continually liaise with other relevant departments, service lines and Region teams -Develop and advise on relevant cost models and structures appropriate to different sectors -Develop robust pricing windows for scopes in different sectors in the relevant regions, ensuring clear understanding of what best price to win competitively should be -Evaluate and compare quotations received from suppliers and prepare full priced build-ups for internally priced elements of work to assist in supplier and subcontractor selection, ensuring competitiveness -Participate in cost and value estimates internally and externally through full life cycle of RFI, ITT and pre and post-contract award activities -Attend Tender meetings, liaise and negotiate with the Client/Client representatives -To examine and analyse tender documentation to help develop tender strategy, create cost plans and detailed estimates

What You Bring

To be successful for this role you will have previous experience with Tendering within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Industrial or Infrastructure sectors with strong mechanical and electrical scopes exposure. You will be adept at building competitive tender price's from first principles and creating bill of quantities frameworks and work breakdown structures in Capex and Opex environments. Alongside this you will have personally delivered scopes of work within the £3-10M range as well as participating in larger teams on major projects. You will be a self-starter in nature with strong communication, self-confidence and organisational skills to underpin the dynamic nature of this role. Advanced Excel skills are required for the role. -Leverage experience, market knowledge and client understanding to build competitive tender packages from 1st principles and advise on alternative options & value engineering where appropriate
