Tasks

-Supplier Assessment: Reviews supplier quality management systems, evaluates their effectiveness, and recommends improvements to address gaps. Takes lead and initiative to proactively drive improvements. -Risk Management: leads collaborations with internal and external stakeholders to minimize risk to PGE systems and processes based on material supplier performance. -Consultation and Outreach: Responds to needs of internal stakeholder and provides training and outreach to internal stakeholders related to area of expertise. -Supplier Quality Program Management: Champions PGE’s Supplier Quality Program. Identifies and executes initiatives to ensure PGE is receiving materials and equipment that meet or exceed minimum standards. -Supplier Assessment: Reviews supplier quality management systems, evaluates their effectiveness, and recommends improvements to address gaps. -Analysis and Implementation: Proactively researches and interprets new material and equipment standards. Coordinates with subject matter experts to determine action items, when applicable. -Risk Management: Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to minimize risk to PGE systems and processes based on material supplier performance. -Root Cause Analysis: Tracks, identifies, and assists in Root Cause Analysis investigations into reliability and supplier quality events. Analyzes results and drafts conclusions and remediation plans. -Root Cause Analysis: Leads Root Cause Analysis investigations into reliability and supplier quality events. Analyzes results and drafts conclusions and remediation plans. -Supplier Quality Program Management: Owns and administers PGE’s Supplier Quality Program. Identifies and executes initiatives to ensure PGE is receiving materials and equipment that meet or exceed minimum standards. -Assessment and Enforcement Management: Schedules, coordinates, and participates in supplier assessments. Gathers evidence for and submits process improvement related to manufacturing deficiencies. Supports strategic discussions related to response actions.

-Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs. as needed. -Primarily office-based with occasional field, plant, regional, and international travel as needed. -Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and diplomacy skills. -Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance required. -Advanced knowledge of ISO9001 and other quality management system standards. -Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. -Regular computer use throughout the workday. -P4 – Senior: Typically eight or more years in quality assurance, manufacturing, engineering or related discipline. -Advanced written and verbal communication skills. -Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. -Effective decision-making and prioritization abilities. -Strong analytical and investigative skills related to quality management system compliance. -Ability to follow through on decision-making tasks -Advanced knowledge of manufacturing best practices. -Ability to work long or variable hours as business needs require. -Comfortable communicating and problem-solving under stress. -Adapts effectively to frequent change and evolving manufacturing practices. -Skilled in developing, managing, and monitoring quality controls. -P3 – Staff: Typically five or more years in quality assurance, manufacturing, engineering or related discipline. -Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking. -Ability to adhere to deadlines and accuracy standards. -Ability to successfully collaborate with peers, managers and others within the organization -Demonstrates sound memory -Demonstrates self-awareness and continuous learning from feedback. -Ability to discern feedback and acknowledge ownership of areas of improvement -Ability to process new information to be applied consistently to work tasks -Ability to travel daily and overnight within and outside service territory occasionally. -Ability to identify control gaps and recommend process improvements. -Must be able to report and perform duties during inclement weather or emergencies.
