General Laborer / Helper

Overview

Assist welders in shop fabrication, handling materials, cleaning, and basic site duties.

Tasks

-Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights) -Follow all company standards. -Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks. -Lift, move, and hold, work pieces into position as directed. -General clean up and supply duties on jobsite. -Maintain current timecard, daily time sheet. -Lift & carry objects and materials of various weights. -Moves work pieces, tools, and supplies, manually or by hand truck.

What You Bring

-Driving if required to travel. -Skilled in math which includes adding and subtracting fractions. -Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels. -Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle & have a Driver’s license with a clean driving record. -Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day -Ability to periodically lift and carry up to fifty pounds for short distances. -Must be 18 years of age or older. -Ability to frequently stand, sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel. -Use of respirator if position requires. -Able to pass preliminary and periodic drug testing requirements. -Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors -Use PPE properly while on job sites (hard hat, safety glasses, etc.). -GED or High School Diploma. -Ability to follow directions closely. -Ability to work from ladders and scaffolds. -Exposure to areas with limited visibility
