Overview

Leads design and delivery of large coastal engineering projects and manages compliance.

Tasks

-Leads and prepares multiple engineering design by collecting and studying reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, and tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical and geologic data -Leads the analysis of multiple project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs -Successfully support ongoing Coastal / Water practice through contacts and business development efforts working with EPA, Army Corps of Engineers, NOAA, Local Environmental agencies, as well as private sector clients -Implements scientific and regulatory tasks for projects to ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations, and policies, including NEPA, Endangered Species Act, and Clean Water Act -Creates multiple feasibility studies by analyzing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data -Researches and assists in complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions -Leads and designs multiple construction projects by studying project concept, architectural drawings, and models -Leads the development of multiple construction specifications, plans, and schedules to produce engineering documents
